Welcome to Amadara. We are a family-run small business located in the charming Lincoln Square neighborhood in Chicago, IL, since 2014. Our shop has been specializing in importing unique and eclectic handicrafts from Thailand, Bali, Nepal, India, Vietnam - along with a few from Japan, China, and Turkey - since 1997.  We initially started selling our products from kiosks at Navy Pier in 1997. In the Christmas week of 2014, we opened AMADARA at Lincoln Square.

The name "Amadara" is a creative combination of our children’s names, Amarit and Adara. Amarit and Adara have accompanied us on buying trips to Asia since they were babies, enduring the tropical heat and humidity, as well as the hot, dry climate of India.

Amadara is situated at 4555 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. We offer a wide array of eclectic products including handmade jewelry, silver jewelry, Tibetan Silver, clothing, shawls and scarves, handmade paper, journals, photo albums, lamps & hanging lanterns, singing bowls, prayer flags, Buddha and Deity statues, crystals & minerals and gemstones, and so much more. If you are looking for a unique, exotic, and affordable gift, Amadara is the perfect shop for you.
